Where to use

FT-305 is especially designed for general glazing and weather sealing in curtain wall and building facades. It is suitable for glazing weatherproofing movement joint and sealing the joints of the non-structural curtain wall. It can form a waterproofing sealed layer to many kinds of glasses, coated aluminum, decorative metal board, tile, and granite without primmer.

Use limitations

FT-305 silicone Weatherproofing sealant is not fit for structural usage. It should NOT be applied in the following conditions:

a. To building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents and green or partially sulfur zed gaskets or tapes, etc.

b. In totally confined spaces (Silicon sealant need the water in the air to cure)

c. For continuous inversion in water or below-grade applications all the year

d. To painted surfaces, may cause seal failure as the paint cracking or paint stripping

e. To frost-laden or wet surfaces

f. Surface touch the food directly

g. Easily suffer mechanical wear

h. Fireproofing seal system

Material feature

FT-305 Silicone Weatherproof sealant can keep good viscous degree and can easily extruded at -25℃ to 50℃; Can keep good flexibility at -50℃ to 150℃ after cured. It is unaffected by UV ray, rain, ice, snow, air pollution, ozone and high or low temperature. Even under the severe weather conditions, it can maintain excellent weatherproofing and waterproofing properties for some years, FT-305 has an excellent compatibility with reflect glass, doubling glass, silicone hollow glass, acrylic acid, polythene and etc.

Storage and usable life

It has a useable life of 12 months from the produced date when stored under dry and airy,27℃ or lower temperature conditions in the original unopened container
